Luke and Nanny taking some time to relax and work on a puzzle together. The little things are what we miss most.

Another fun day spent exploring .
This time we went to check out the zoo. One of our favorite exhibits... Luke shows Nanny how to feed the stingrays.

We finally got the chance to go back down the Weekee Watchee river (about and hour north of here). I was a beautiful day. With crystal clear water that never drops below 74 degrees what more could we ask for? We were so glad we got to bring Nanny with us, and this time I remembered the camera.
Luke (below) with a stick bug on his hand....very cool :)

Stopping for a swim, and some lunch. There are so many great places it's hard to choose. We got to see all kinds of wild life on our trip down the river. We saw lots of birds, an alligator which Joel got a little too close to, and 5 manatees. This one decided to go right under my kayak. I was glad that he/she didn't decide to come up for air. Also glad that they are very friendly.

I tried to get as many photos of us, and the beautiful color of the water as I could, but photos never quite show how vivid natures beauty is. I still think you can get the idea though. This is also a fairly slow moving river, great for a leisurely days float.

Joel, Luke, and Nanny, probably thinking they wish I would stop taking pictures, but the sun kept getting in the way....damn Florida sun....

What can I say, it's beautiful so I took a lot of pictures

Nanny enjoying an un-planned swim....Not that it wasn't nice to take a dip, but... Joel "unintentionally" tipped the canoe with he, Luke, and my mom in it. Luckily nothing was lost, and Joel's phone was only non functioning for a few days. Next time she may not trust Joel's skills so much. Could have been worse places to be dunked in the drink I suppose :)

We decided to go back to the Sunken Gardens, this time with Nanny in toe. We did visit a lot of the same places, but some of them are too nice to miss, this is one of them.

Nanny and Luke feeding the koi fish in the pond. If you look close you can see some of them fighting for food. Something tells me that they aren't under fed here. It might be the fact that they were all out of fish pellets so I was given the larger flamingo food to feed them.

Below is Luke pretending to be a camouflaged lizard. Can you spot him?

Enjoying another great day at the beach shelling with Nanny. And also some more down time zooming cars around the table by the pool. Below is a picture of our wonderful bread recipe we had to try, it came out so well (even in our electric oven) I had to take a picture. Yes.....I took a picture of bread.

After dropping Nanny off at the airport we stopped at the Orlando Science Museum. It was a great place, lots of hands on exhibits for younger kids. Especially in the natural sciences and dinosaur areas.
