Fun and exploration at Fort De Soto

Joel and Luke checking out a sand dollar

Luke going to work as a fire fighter at the Glazer children's museum
More Aqua tots, getting to touch a turtle.
Luke and Isabella investigating meal worms in zoo school.
Luke enjoying eggs with hot sauce on them

Luke enjoying all that the strawberry festival had to offer. He spent five hours riding rides(by himself) and eating lots of yummy fair food.

See.....we do give Luke ice cream treats
This was Lukes favorite ride! He came back again and again all day long

This talking robot(man in costume) talked with Luke and Joel for 10 minutes, and I think Joel liked it more than Luke.
Touching animals at Aqua tots and Zoo school

Luke and I made a bio-dome aquarium/terrarium. We cut up 3 soda bottles, which we emptied by plopping a mentos in them and watching it explode. Then we put gravel, dirt, and a plant in the top to make the terrarium. In the bottom we bought an aquatic plant, gravel, water, and a fish for our aquarium. We managed to keep the fish a while, until I forgot to bring it in one cold night and it died..... And a new topic arises, death. He has been interested and confused by this ever since.

We had lots of fun with this project, and we do still have it, though the water could use a change.

Then Luke found a snail, and we added that. He is still alive and doing well I am happy, and more than a little surprised to admit.
Learning about baking soda and vinegar at Aqua tots

Luke and Joel(he is on the left) hiding on me. Red was a bit of a give away.
