Luke and Isabella making some felt monsters
Another craft by Luke. Self explanatory, cotton ball sheep
Isabella and Luke out exploring by the pond. Luke wanted me to pick
every creature up, and Isabella wanted me to put them all right back down.
The dreaded pirate Luke. He may not look very menacing,
but I assure you he is planning his next attack.
We decided to get a box and turn it into a house for Luke. It was his job to paint his house. He started out with stars on the ceiling, then shapes on the wall, and when I turned my back to get something he took the opportunity to paint himself (way more fun than the box). Since he was a contained mess I felt it was o.k. and let him have at it. This paint was not lead based, or made in china....I don't think....just kidding, bad joke.
As you can see he enjoyed himself immensely
Luke's first real fishing trip, on the Myakka river. We were pretty well skunked in the fish department, we'll blame that on the low water level. However we saw a record number of alligators!
Luke, it turns out, is a natural with a fishing pole. He casts better than Joel.
A beautiful sunset on the Myakka river
It seems so long ago, but this is Lukes first day at Aqua Tots (his class at the aquarium). He is making a model of the ocean with baby oil, water, and food coloring.
Luke and Isabella enjoying some quality time together
We took Luke to a Seminole war reenactment at the Hillsborough State Park. It was kinda lame, but he seemed to like it. He even learned a little history about Florida, the soldiers and Indians.
Luke decided he wanted to be an Indian and act out some of the stuff we learned. Soldiers bad, Indians good :) The pose was his own, but I thought it was awesome!
Luke, hiding behind a tree ready to ambush
Luke at aqua tots, making his kiss kiss fish for valentines day. Also getting to touch a really cool snake.
Our first trip to the Florida state fair was a hit! We went at night when everything was lit right up. He was running from ride to ride, so fun to watch. He even went on the ferris wheel
A fun day with Isabella at the kids museum
Luke feeding the goose and ducks.
Here we are touching a sea urchin at aqua tots.
I thought I would end with this picture of Luke and Joel passed out on the bed together. They had been wrestling, and when it got real quit I went in to check. This is what I found.
